Who Are We?

St. Ignatius Housing Association has been providing accommodation based support in Haringey for single vulnerable homeless people for over 25 years. We are the largest accommodation based support service provider in Haringey with 57 units across 13 sites in the borough. We provide support, training education, mentoring and life skills coaching to single homeless people who have a local connection to Haringey and accept referrals solely from Haringey's vulnerable adults team . We support clients through our move-on programme to access independent accommodation in the private sector. Our activities include fundraising for rent deposits for our clients.

We provide emergency accommodation at the request of the vulnerable adult's team to reduce the cost of expensive temporary accommodation.

Our main business objective is to reduce homelessness and its impact on the health and well-being of Haringey residents. In partnership with the Vulnerable Adults Team, St Mungo's, One Housing, Thames Reach, Alone in Lone and All People All Places we have established the cold winter shelter pathway programme. We work in partnership to reduce rough sleeping in Haringey and as part of Haringey's rough sleeper's strategy. The pathway is involved in the health screening programme delivering TB screening to rough sleepers at the shelters and other localities in the borough.

We have long established relationships with private landlords in Haringey. We procure properties in Haringey to be used by the Vulnerable Adult's Team and Housing Related Support to delivery Haringey's Housing Related Support commissioning plan.

We are a not for profit charity based in Haringey with strong links to local churches who are also involved in the cold winter shelter pathway in Haringey.

Length of stay is a maximum of one year.

Referrals

All referrals come via Haringey Council's Pathway Manager Self referrals are not accepted.
